Lyford CISD: Home Of Patriotism
"Home Of Patriotism" Backstory
The district has been called the "Home of Patriotism" since 1994! During the 1994 ceremony, Lyford CISD honored World War II Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, SGT. Lucian Adams. The war hero was so impressed by the district's efforts to honor veterans that when asked what he thought about the ceremony, his response was, "I am standing in the home of patriotism." Since then, the district has been known as the "Home of Patriotism."
